News & Updates

I was invited to hold a talk last Wednesday for the Edith Weston Ladies Group. Well, what a fun night we had talking all things colour and style!
I covered the importance of wearing your best colours and how to make the most of your body shape and all the ladies had a chance to discover their own unique style personality. We finished off the evening with some top tips on detoxing your wardrobe and how to shop your wardrobe using hero pieces to create lots of different outfits!
Hopefully I was able to inspire the group to have a good sort out! Love doing these evenings as I meet so many lovely people and of course get to spread the word about the wonders of colour!

Due to the success of my talk to the Greetham WI ladies I am offering everyone the chance to learn "How to Detox & Shop Your Wardrobe" through mini workshops that I will be hosting every Saturday morning in March & April. These will take place at my studio in Manton, Oakham and will last approx 2 hours.

If you struggle putting outfits together even though you have a wardrobe full of clothes this could be just for you!

Do get in touch to find out more!

Had a very enjoyable evening last week with the Greetham WI who had asked me to do a talk on "how to detox and shop your wardrobe". We had a full house of ladies who were after some inspiration and guidance and some top tips on how to save money and the environment by shopping their wardrobes. I shared with them a 6 step detox programme and also how to create outfits out of garments and accessories that they already owned. I set them a challenge to complete their wardrobe detoxs by the end of Lent and to then hold a Clothes Swap party to ensure that items they no longer wanted found a good home with someone else. I do hope they complete this challenge!!
I am excited to announce that I have received an award for my achievements in my first year of working with Colour me Beautiful!
I see many clients who have lost confidence in how they look and feel in a style rut. My job is to empower them with the knowledge to make the right choices in terms of colour and style, when choosing their clothes, makeup and accessories. The difference this can make to how a person feels is immense and when you get it right it is totally transformational. Seeing the change in ladies from when they arrive for their consultation and to when they leave is why I love what I do so much!
I am extremely proud to receive this award from Colour me Beautiful and I am excited about what the next year holds. I am planning to spread the word about the wonders of colour & style through personal consultations, working with local groups and charities and holding workshops at local venues throughout the year.

Had a wonderful evening last week with the Rippingale & District WI ladies who were hosting a Colour themed evening. The Village Hall was very colourfully decorated and tables colour coded with all ladies (including myself) wearing hand made coloured pom pom earrings! There were colourful cakes in abundance too. I talked about the influence of colour on how we look and feel, using a few willing volunteers! We also discovered how knowing your style personality and body shape can help with shopping for the right outfits and in giving you confidence and that feel-good factor. Thank you ladies for inviting me - it was a very enjoyable evening!

I held my "Wear it Pink" Party on Friday 19th October at Manton Village Hall. There was plenty of pink cake to be eaten, kindly made and donated by my friends and colleagues, and a raffle and tombola to partake it. I held a presentation on how to wear your best colours and also on choosing the right lipstick to make you look wow! We raised a total of £170.00 for Breast Cancer Now so thank you to everyone that attended and donated!

We also managed to get into the local papers! The Rutland Times on Thursday 25th October and the Rutland Mercury on Friday 26th.....

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the 'Wear it Pink' campaign is now fully underway. Having a number of close friends diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, I am all to aware of the impact of this disease on the patient and their family.
So to help the charity 'Breast Cancer Now' I will be holding a 'Wear it Pink' Party on Friday 19th October. Come along (in pink of course!) and raise some money for breast cancer research. I will give you a complimentary mini colour analysis so you know what your best pinks (and other colours!) are.
Pink cakes, pink drinks and pink sweeties will all be provided!
All I ask is a donation of your choice to the Charity.
Contact me for more information and I hope to see you there!

I recently spent the day at Shienman Opticians in the centre of Northampton on a special 'Bevel and Colour me Beautiful Showcase Day'.
Bevel Eyewear are an amazing eyewear brand that use only the highest quality titanium and acetate in their frames and have a unique colour palette which really sets them apart from the rest of the field. I joined Peter from Bevel for the day to advise clients about which colour palette they could use not only for their glasses frames but also in their wardrobe to best compliment their natural skin tones (and their gorgeous new eyewear!)
The customers really loved knowing the colours and styles and shapes of glasses that really suited them.
Prosecco and luxury chocolates were also on offer so all in all it was a very successful and enjoyable day!
